The Bad
While there were a number of compliments from guests in the reviews used for this analysis, there were also a large number of guest criticisms. Guests complained most commonly about aging decor and about noise disturbances.

A few guests complained about noise disturbances from guests in the hallways and from adjacent rooms. One guest complained about noise from a barking dog carrying through the hallways.

Some guests said that the decor was aging and that updates to bathrooms, linens and furniture were recommended.

A handful of guests complained of unpleasant odours in the hallways, which some could not name specifically, while others linked them to cigarette smoke, even though this hotel is 100% non-smoking.

During the renovations, the on-site restaurant and bar were closed, and remain so through May 1, 2013, which some guests found inconvenient. Guests were given a voucher for a nearby restaurant, Ricky's Restaurant, located two blocks from the hotel, but some guests thought a number of their menu items were expensive.
