Popular Whitehorse hotel with well-liked restaurant, jacuzzi suites & free airport shuttle
The Skky Hotel offers good value for the dollar and has very good ratings online. Guests say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover on this hotel as although the exterior looks dated, the interior has been renovated and looks very luxurious. Guests liked the welcoming staff, comfortable beds, cleanliness, quietness of their rooms and the on-site dining at this hotel.
The Skky Hotel has good highway access for guests exploring the area by car with only a 1-minute drive to the Alaska/Klondike Hwy. It's also one of the hotels closest to the Whitehorse international airport (3-minute drive) and still only 8 minutes to the city centre.
Although there's an on-site restaurant guests should note that it's open limited hours. There's an alternate breakfast and dining option next door, however, about a 4-minute walk away at the Airport Chalet restaurant, plus the downtown area has a good selection of restaurants.
Rooms at this hotel are all air-conditioned and feature cable/satellite 42" plasma TV, a coffeemaker and mini-fridge, hardwood floors, heated bathroom floors, bathrobes and slippers, along with all the usual room amenities. Room extras include suites with a separate living area, jetted tubs, fireplaces and balconies. Guests should also be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor. Free amenities include: Wi-Fi, secure parking and airport shuttle services.
