The Good
This hotel was recently renovated with stylish, modern decor and guests, usually impressed with the value offered, responded with positive reviews.

The hotel provided very clean rooms with attractive modern decor and very large HD flat screen TVs.  Many found the beds comfortable and enjoyed high quality bed linens and towels. Spacious rooms with large work spaces and fast Wi-Fi were also an asset for the many business travellers who came to this hotel.

The location, while a little far to downtown and shopping, was excellent for accessing the airport and the hotel provided a free on-demand shuttle service which was appreciated, especially for guests taking early morning flights. Adding convenience for some was the ample parking available, along with extended parking options.

Many enjoyed the reasonably-priced dining on site which offered a wide variety of meal choices. Guests often praised the wait or lounge staff and described the food as very good.

Staff were typically described as friendly and accommodating. One guest said, "Friendly and helpful staff, right from the front desk to the chambermaids to maintenance."

The indoor atrium with live tropical plants was greatly appreciated by some guests, who enjoyed the ambiance it brought to the pool and dining area.  One recent guest said, "The atmosphere of an oasis, with all the trees!"

The Bad
Weak areas of the hotel and its service seemed to have diminished since the renovations, but occasionally the hotel failed to please.

Guests were sometimes inconvenienced by the shortage of working elevators. This may have been due to renovations being carried out during the past year. One guest claimed that housekeeping took up elevator space with their carts and another maintained that disabled guests could find difficulty getting to the conference floors due to long corridors and a lack of elevators in this area of the hotel.

A couple of recent guests did not like having a frosted sliding-glass door to the bathroom as they felt it did not provide as much privacy.

One recent reviewer online did not like having the pool overlooked by the lounge as they felt conspicuous.

A few reviewers said the pillows were too thick and they preferred thinner ones. And although many said the beds were very comfy, a couple of guests said they were too hard for their liking.

Some guests complained of booking and pricing errors where they were charged more than the amount they had originally booked. Some were not expecting an extra parking charge for extended parking, and claimed to not have been told up front, when they booked.

One recent guest said that he was turned away (after driving 8 hours) as the hotel had overbooked their rooms, although he had a confirmation number. He had booked this hotel due to a work conference and now he would have to drive to the conference.

One guest was displeased to be unexpectedly charged a 17% gratuity fee on the room service bill.

A few guests found the hotel a little far to downtown with no shopping nearby.
