The Good
Many guests found this a suitable and comfortable place to stay in Saskatoon.
It was well located near to highways, downtown and the airport and was best for guests who had cars to get around, as although guests could technically walk to the city centre's restaurants, it wasn't a very pleasant walk, as there were homeless people panhandling and seeking to sell things near the hotel.
Many of the hotel's rooms are renovated and nicely cleaned, so guests who obtained a good room rate were usually pleased with the rooms, although they were somewhat average in appearance. Several mentioned comfy beds at the hotel.
The staff were well reviewed overall, but none of them shone as much as the housekeeping staff who were some of the best. Desk staff were sometimes described as lacking skills and professionalism, but usually they were seen as friendly and pleasant.
Overall guests conveyed that the restaurant served decent meals.
Guests with children found the pool to have a large shallow area that was good for little ones, and the guest laundry and golf dome nearby was also appreciated.
The Bad
The facility, rooms and services often failed to impress and satisfy the expectations of the guests.
The facility was often found lacking. Guests complained of limited parking, no green space to sit outside around the hotel, a cold hot tub with no working jets, and a cold or dirty pool with a displaced liner in a musty smelling pool area.
Guests had complaints over dated rooms: noisy AC unit, rooms that smelled of stale smoke, mould in the tub area, fan not filtering air properly from the bathroom, no hot water in the shower, broken door locks, broken phone, and tired wallpaper, carpet and drapes.
Some were disappointed to find the golf dome had very limited hours (from noon to 6 pm in the summer).
