This hotel is located just off Hwy 157 and a 3-minute drive to downtown restaurants and shops. It offers a comfortable stay with views of the Saint-Maurice River and Île Melville.

The Good
This hotel offered a peaceful respite and very friendly personnel added to guests' stays.
Guests enjoyed this quiet and beautiful location. They found it to be close to Mauricie National Park, Shawinigan Falls, walking trails, downtown and several restaurants. Many were pleased with views of the river and Energy Tower from a nearby observation deck and enjoyed the peaceful and well-treed area.
Guests found their rooms clean, quiet and spacious, with comfortable beds. Although the rooms are getting older, they were well maintained.
The hotel's breakfast was enjoyed by guests. It offered a good selection of items, hot choices and dollar-size waffles.
Many felt the hotel offered good value with reasonable rates. A free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi and free parking all added value to the stay.
The Bad
There was some negative feedback offered online.
Occasionally guests were disappointed in the layout of their rooms. What one guest thought was a one-bedroom suite did not supply a fully separated bedroom, but two rooms with an open archway. Another guest said they expected more space and some room separation for the junior suite.
Some guests felt the hotel was a little far to town for walking (20 minutes) and that the hotel was getting a little older.
A few guests missed having an elevator on site, especially if they were carrying a lot of luggage and were tired from their travels.
Occasionally guests complained about the free breakfast, feeling letdown over being served on paper plates or by the selection.
There were also a few complaints over hearing a noisy AC unit and the smell of smoke in the hotel.
