The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, rooms, staff and breakfast.
Numerous guests praised the hotel's location. They described it as beautiful, and close to restaurants, shopping, highway access, downtown Montreal, the airport, St. Sauveur and Thousand Islands Park.
The hotel's accommodations were enjoyed by many reviewers. They found their rooms to be clean, modern, quiet and well equipped, with nice river views and comfortable beds. A few guests complained of dark lighting, however.
The hotel's staff were the source of several compliments by patrons. They were characterized as helpful, professional, friendly and accommodating.
Several travellers were pleased with the free continental breakfast, describing it as healthy and plentiful, with a good selection of breads, cereals, muffins and juice. One guest remarked, "The continental breakfast is better than all competition in a setting that is worth the visit".
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about noise transfer and the hotel's lack of spa.
Some lodgers complained of noise transfer during their stay. They reported traffic noise in rooms facing the highway, as well as noise from guests coming and going and slamming doors in the hallways.
Although the hotel is advertised as having a spa, as of the time this editorial was written, the spa was being rebuilt due to fire. Some guests were disappointed the hotel's website did not advertise this fact, and arrived thinking they would be able to book spa services.
