Overview
This hotel is located just outside the walls of Old Québec City and is attached to the Capitole Théâtre (performing arts theatre). This property is ideal for guests who are looking to attend a show at the theatre and for travellers who desire to explore the Old Quebec on foot.

The Good
Guests typically were quite happy with their stays at this hotel and highlighted a number of areas where the hotel performed well.
Many guests enjoyed clean rooms with some mentioning nice decor and comfortable beds. Several guests were very pleased with beautiful views of the city and of the Parliament buildings from tall windows that opened in their guest rooms.
The staff were frequently complimented and guests described the front desk agents as friendly, helpful, and quick to provide recommendations and directions.
Many reviewers found the location convenient for accessing attractions on foot, both in the downtown area and in Old Québec. Guests found several restaurants and cafés within a 5-minute walk of this hotel.
Many reviewers praised the food and the attentive wait staff at the on-site restaurant. One guest described the room service as prompt.
The Bad
Although many guests provided lots of positive comments in the reviews sourced for this report, there were some weak spots in the hotel's service and amenities.
The building is older and some of the rooms and bathrooms are a smaller than expected with cramped space. Navigating the shower was a challenge and not recommended for the elderly as guests had to step down into the tub to have a shower. In addition some guests felt the decor was dated.
Some guests complained about uncomfortable couches and beds as well. Guests sometimes had rooms that were too hot, or too much light came in, waking them up. Some found noisy AC units or heat pumps/compressors which disturbed sleep. Others complained of insufficient lighting or a lack of storage for personal items. More than one guest said the bathroom provided no privacy whatsoever as anyone in the room could see the person in the bathroom through the frosted glass walls.
Some guests found the rooms and valet parking expensive compared to other hotels.
