Overview
This hotel is located in the St. Roch district of downtown Quebec City among restaurants, shops and live theatre, and a 25-minute walk or 8-minute drive from Old Quebec.

The Good
This hotel was well liked overall by many guests who enjoyed the modern decor, on site dining and the St. Roch location. The hotel is currently (2017) renovating.

Guests typically liked the staff. They were described as friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. English speakers were happy the staff were fluent in English.
Many considered the location excellent. Guests found it handy to public transit, downtown businesses, the old city, great restaurants, shopping, the ferry and other downtown attractions.
Many guests enjoyed delicious meals on site at the hotel's restaurant and church views from its windows.
Some felt the hotel offered good value and mentioned free Wi-Fi, a large fitness room and a large indoor pool as adding value to the stay.
The Bad
Guests complained along a few themes, and there was a sense that some guests were not fond of the minimalist/modern decor and found the rooms somewhat lacking, small and with poor views.
With regard to the rooms there were several complaints: the room was small and too stark without a cozy feel, desks were too small, the bathroom was dimly lit with not enough light for applying make up, AC unit was loud, an open-concept shower with no shower curtain or full-size glass door allowed for a wet bathroom floor, uncomfortably hard mattress, low to the ground bedframe, and a few guests could not find or locate the drawers or closet.
Some guests thought the hotel was a bit far to Old Quebec on foot, especially since it required and uphill walk.
A few guests found the restaurant a little pricey and the service slow.
Some guests complained of slow service at the front desk at times with only one person there and a line up of guests wishing to check in or out.
Parking was occasionally a frustrating experience and guests did not like paying extra for it. One guest explained that the vehicle drop off area was small for the valet service and it could block the underground exit for guests who were self-parking and wanted to leave.
