Many lodgers enjoyed the hotel's location with some saying it was ideal. They found it close to Chateau Frontenac, La Citadelle, historic sites, museums, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, St. Lawrence River, public transit and the Plains of Abraham Park.
The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments, and were characterized as informative, bilingual, accommodating and responsive. One guest remarked, "Florence, the owner, handled our cabs and restaurant requests. Provided wonderful historical information and advised best times for certain locales we visited. Also, assisted us with our rental car we secured for two days". The hotel's staff were also appreciated for directing guests to great restaurants.
Several guests praised their lodgings at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, with good water pressure, comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. Many guests pointed out that the rooms were quiet as the hotel was on a quiet street. Guests also enjoyed the courtyard and Four Seasons Room where they relaxed and had breakfast.

The Bad
Negative comments were few and far between in the reviews read for this report. Most of them were isolated in nature, but one theme rose up.
more This theme surrounded the breakfast for those guests who just felt it was too minimal because eggs, other protein choices and cereal were not offered. Some guests felt that it was just too sweet and too boring after the third day at the inn.
Isolated complaints included: no coffeemaker in the room, dim lighting next to the beds not enough for reading, a bathroom smelled stale, hilly area made it difficult to walk back to the hotel, steep stairs and no elevator.
