The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, location and rooms.
The hotel's staff were praised by numerous reviewers, who found them friendly, accommodating and helpful with directions and dining suggestions. One guest noted, "But the best reason to stay here is the friendly, helpful service of the entire staff. They gave us excellent suggestions for dinner and shopping, and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Just as an example, it was raining very heavily the first night we arrived. We had dinner reservations at a restaurant just a short walk away, and the owner, Jean-Francois offered to drive us to our destination".
Many lodgers were pleased with the hotel's location, finding it close to restaurants, Quebec City Convention Centre, Old Quebec, Chateau Frontenac, cafes and a grocery store. One patron remarked, "It's in a terrific location - only a 15 minute walk from the old part of the city, but in its own great neighbourhood, with local restaurants, coffee shops, a patisserie, a grocery store, and other shops. It was great to be near the old city, but to not have to be in the middle of the touristy area. It's also a 5 minute walk from the Plains of Abraham, and a 5 minute walk to the best part of Rue Saint Jean".
The hotel's accommodations were enjoyed by several travellers. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, well equipped and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds. A few guests criticized their lodgings, however (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms and parking.
Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with their clean and well-equipped rooms, a few guests had complaints about their accommodations. They reported noise from guests in adjacent rooms, as well as small showers and sinks.
The hotel's parking was a source of complaint by a few lodgers. They found the parking spots to be tight and felt the cost of parking should have been included in the daily rates.
