The Good
The hotel was well liked overall and guests had a comfortable stay in a convenient downtown location.
more The location was a high point with guests. It was easy to access so much within walking distance, the convention centre, the underground city, Metro, restaurants, shops and even Old Montreal.
Guests found the rooms stylish, comfortable and well appointed. They often said the rooms smelled clean, had very good Wi-Fi, a laptop-sized safe, good black-out blinds, quiet and affective AC/heating units and very comfortable beds.
Staff for the most part were very well liked. Guests described prompt valet service, excellent maid service and fast check-in no matter how busy they were. All staff were knowledgeable about the area, with advice ready for where to eat and what to see and do.
Many enjoyed dining and breakfasts on site and the bar was a friendly place for a nightcap, although some thought it closed too early at midnight.
The Bad
There was some negative feedback offered online.
more Guests often found the breakfast expensive. Some also mentioned booking a package that included breakfast, only to find that it did not include everyone booked into the room but only the first two adults. Others complained of excessively high prices for room service.
Some disliked paying extra for parking and one guest found that he was charged $25 twice in one day, as there was no in-out privileges for self parking. It seems that the hotel shares underground parking with the World Trade Centre.
Some thought the pool was small and it was inconvenient to share with those doing laps for exercise if you were just soaking, as it felt as though you were in their way. It also closed too early at 7:30 pm according to guests.
Recent room complaints included: TV did not face the bed in a 1-room layout, desk chair not adjustable, rooms were dimly lit, small closet space, a few basic cable channels, a poor view and some rooms were considered small.
