Located in downtown Montreal in the city's gay village, the Hotel Ste-Catherine is popular with travellers who prefer an economical and central hotel offering a complimentary breakfast with easy access to public transit.

This hotel has 24 air-conditioned guest rooms, all of which offer one double, one queen or two double beds, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a mini-fridge, a telephone and a hair dryer. 

The hotel also offers a 24-hour front desk, a microwave in the lobby, a free continental breakfast and four parking spaces for $10 per day each. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are not available, pets are not allowed, and the hotel does not provide an elevator.

Restaurant Bato Thai is located next door, while the Papineau Metro Station is about a 2-minute walk north of the hotel. The University of Quebec at Montreal is roughly a 17-minute walk southwest of the hotel, and Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) is a 20-minute drive southwestward. The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's staff, location and value.

Numerous guests complimented the hotel on its customer service, and characterized the staff as courteous, helpful and bilingual. One lodger remarked that they gave directions, provided maps and helped with luggage.

The hotel's location was praised by many reviewers, who found it to be close to the metro, restaurants, bars, a supermarket, La Ronde Amusement Park and the local nightlife. One guest stated that the location was great for anyone looking to access public transportation.

Several lodgers were pleased with the hotel's value. They described the rates as cheap, inexpensive and reasonable, with a good quality to price ratio.
