The Good
Guests really liked this hotel. It was 'a little bit of Paris without the jet lag' for some and offered a superbly comfortable stay with great value for others.
The dining on site was nothing short of wonderful. So many reviewers raved about the food using words like exquisite, amazing, delicious and out of this world. One recent guest wrote, "You MUST eat in the restaurant Bonaparte as the food is unbelievable!!"
Guests were very pleased with the value, especially when considering the delightful included hot breakfasts they were treated to daily. Combined with the room rate, they felt it was unbeatable when compared to other 5 and 4 star hotels.
The staff were very highly praised as well by guests, who found them welcoming, professional and incredibly friendly and helpful.
The hotel was elegant with very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Guests described them as gorgeous, historical and charming with comfortable beds, hardwood floors and 13-foot high ceilings.
The hotel's location was perfect for walking around Montreal. Guests found it close to great restaurants and an easy walk to attractions and the waterfront.
The Bad
Some guests offered a little critique of the rooms in recent reviews found online.
more Recent complaints included: small rooms, no tea or coffee making facilities, no mini-fridge, no counter space along sink for toiletries in the bathroom, older-style bedspreads which are likely not changed with each guest, not enough cable channels, not enough seating and more storage space needed in the room.
