Located about a 4-minute drive from the nearest Trans-Canada Highway on-ramp and an 8-minute drive from Mont-Tremblant's city centre, the Gite l'Escale du Nord is suitable for travellers who prefer a hotel with a free breakfast, an outdoor pool and easy highway access.

The hotel's breakfast was praised by numerous reviewers, who described it as tasty, original, delicious, incredible and exquisite, with excellent coffee. One guest remarked, "Breakfasts were all really delicious, with fresh fruit every day, the main course, and then a little dessert/muffin to end it all. I enjoyed it all!". A few patrons found the breakfast portions to be on the small side, however.
Many lodgers were pleased with the hotel's location, finding it to be beautiful and tranquil, as well as close to Mont-Tremblant Resort and Village, restaurants and highway access. One patron noted, "L'escale du Nord is a very, very good place for lodging in the region of Mont-Tremblant. It is very close to most of the attractions and restaurants of the area but still isolated in a quiet and beautiful little forest setting".
The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by travellers, who characterized them as friendly, attentive and helpful with recommendations and arranging taxis. One guest wrote, "Denis and Veronique and their family were wonderful hosts and they made us feel very welcome.
