The Good
The majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with much praise going to the hotel's location, rooms, and staff.
Numerous guests praised the hotel's location. They found it close to the Museum of Civilization, Parliament Hill, Byward Market, restaurants and bars.
The hotel's accommodations were a source of many compliments by reviewers. They described their rooms as clean, modern, spacious and bright, with comfortable beds, and nice views of the Parliament buildings and the Ottawa River.
Several lodgers were pleased with the customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as friendly, polite, professional, attentive and bilingual, as well as informative with tips about the Ottawa and Gatineau areas and attractions.
The Bad
While most of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a couple of common complaints among them about the cost and noise transfer.
Although pleased with their accommodations, some guests felt the hotel was more costly than they would have preferred. These reviewers were disappointed to be charged $14 per day for parking, and also felt breakfast should have been included in the price.
A few lodgers reported noise disruptions during their stay. They reported being disturbed by a children's hockey team staying in the hotel, by elevator and ice machine noise, a loud in-room fan, and housekeeping noise in the early morning. Highway noise was also a source of complaints by a couple guests, who recommended staying at the back of the hotel.
