The hotel's location was the source of numerous compliments by reviewers, who described it as picturesque, tranquil and romantic, as well as close to walking trails, Sherbrooke, Mount Orford and Magog. We found the open air pool the perfect place to admire amazing views of a Canadian pine forest and lake".

Many lodgers praised the hotel's breakfast, finding it to be varied, impressive, superb and delicious. One patron remarked, "Just in the two days we were there we were served homemade French toast and eggs Benedict. A nice change of pace from the often standard continental stale fare you find elsewhere...".
