The Good
Guests had mixed opinions of the hotel overall, but some guests enjoyed their stay at this hotel, considering it to provide good value for an otherwise expensive hotel market.

Some guests found clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Guests liked the heated bathroom floors and the fresh air available in their rooms from walk-out balconies.

The location was handy for guests with cars or those who were accessing offices or events nearby. It provided easy access to the DVP expressway, and all amenities were available within a short drive. There wasn't much in walking distance but guests did find a Tim Hortons a 2-minute walk away and said it was handy to the bus stop, right out front. (Restaurants located at Shops at Don Mills would take about 35 minutes to access on foot.)

Some guests enjoyed breakfast or other meals on site.

The Bad
Guests often left detailed reviews of what needed improvement at the hotel and many complained of poor customer service.

Some pointed to areas of the hotel that needed better maintenance. They cited mould in the hotel's steam room, bathroom fans not working, bathroom tiles mouldy, broken hair dryers, a rickety and slow elevator, peeling wallpaper and paint, and musty odours. Some found the bathtubs had an uneven surface for standing on to take a shower --they described it as similar to standing on a waterbed. Many just said their rooms were dated.

Some guests were disturbed by noise from: in-room heaters, conversations of neighbours and partying guests.

Guests sometimes said the rooms were dirty. Recent complaints posted online were: dusty surfaces, poorly vacuumed or dirty carpets, balconies that were not cleaned from cigarette butts or glasses, and dirty shower curtains.

Hotel policies were sometimes an irritant for guests who were charged large damage deposits at check in and extra, unexpected fees such as a 3% facility-resort fee. Guests often reported billing issues and difficulty in resolving these issues with the hotel as they said the hotel would fail to answer, would delay in responding or would not call back.

Guests often felt the restaurant was overpriced.

Due to busy traffic conditions in the GTA, some felt the hotel was a little far from downtown Toronto.

Guests often complained about Wi-Fi not working well.
