The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stay at this hotel.

The rooms were well liked. They were stylish with modern furnishings, hardwood floors, luxury bed linens and marble bathrooms with good rain showers. Many enjoyed city views from floor-to-ceiling windows.

The food on site was invariably pleasing. Whether for room service, at the Thompson Diner, the Lobby Bar or at Colette dining room guests typically discovered great food, generous portions and reasonable prices.

Guests typically liked the location. It was in walking distance to Rogers Centre and many restaurants and bars along King Street. Public transit was easily accessible.

Staff did a good job for the most part. Guests often reported friendly interactions with staff and some found them professional.

The Bad
Guests who did not enjoy the hotel usually had the same issues.

It was a 'nightclub with rooms', according to one reviewer and this was the sentiment of several guests who found it too loud to sleep and otherwise did not like the atmosphere. They said the elevator and hallways were too dimly lit, the music too loud in the reception area making it hard to hear the front desk staff, there were drunken club patrons making noise outdoors and loud DJ music at the nightclub on site.

Several guests spoke of their disappointment to discover that the rooftop terrace and lounge were off limits to them, as they had booked this hotel due to the draw of that amenity. Unfortunately for the guests of the hotel, the rooftop lounge is sometimes booked out to groups and may not be available for guests' enjoyment.

Guests were not always impressed with the rooms and recent room complaints were: uncomfortable desk chair and desk too high to be functional, doors did not close all the way leaving the possibility of it being unlatched, no top sheet offered on the bed, in-room furniture very uncomfortable, tiny table unstable and too small for room service tray, no tea making facilities in room, houskeeping stingy with the shampoo and soap, bathroom dimly lit, no turn-down service, mini-bar items pricey, bottled water an extra $5, noise from the hallway and street noise very loud.
