Overview

Located about a 2-minute drive from the nearest Gardiner Expressway on-ramp and a 3-minute drive from Toronto's city centre, the Novotel Toronto Centre is geared towards vacation or business travellers who require a pet friendly and centrally located hotel with easy highway access, on-site dining and meeting/banquet space.

Each of the hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms offers free Wi-Fi, cable TV, an in-room safe, a coffeemaker, a desk, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Rooms with a separate bedroom and a minibar are also available, as are smoking, non-smoking and wheelchair-accessible rooms. One pet under 40 lbs is permitted per room free of charge.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, a sauna, a hot tub, a fitness centre, meeting/banquet space, a business centre, laundry services, vending machines, a bar and on-site dining at Cafe Nicole, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Parking is an additional $25 per day.

The CN Tower can be found about 3 minutes away by car, while both Union and King Metro Stations are 8 minutes away on foot. The Toronto Eaton Centre offers shopping a 3-minute drive from the hotel and Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is roughly a 21-minute drive away. The Good

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, value and rooms.

The hotel's location was praised by numerous guests, who described it as central and close to restaurants, shopping, public transit, the Air Canada Centre, the CN Tower, the Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence Market and Ripley's Aquarium. One patron noted, "Definitely would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Toronto and also looking for a perfection location just outside the city centre with lots of things to do around the corner".

Many lodgers were pleased with the hotel's value, describing the rates as fair, great and excellent. One guest remarked, "Brilliant value for money and better than many other hotels I have stayed in that claim higher star ratings".

The hotel's accommodations were enjoyed by several travellers. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds. A few guests did have complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
