Located about a 3-minute walk from St. Andrew Metro Station and a 3-minute drive from Toronto's city centre, the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto is geared towards business or vacation travellers who prefer a centrally located hotel with meeting/banquet space, on-site dining and easy access to public transit.

The hotel's location was enjoyed by numerous lodgers. They found it close to shopping, restaurants, the Four Season's Centre, the financial district, public transit and the Eaton Centre.
Many reviewers praised their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as modern, spacious, clean, quiet, luxurious and well equipped, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms.
