The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stays at this hotel. It offered larger suites which accommodated families well and although it's an older facility, guests who got a good room price were usually among the most pleased.

The hotel's location was convenient. Guests liked being close to Eaton Centre, Dundas Square, Yonge Street shops and dining, the Phoenix Concert Theatre, plus a Tim Hortons and public transit right by the hotel.

Guests often found the staff welcoming and helpful and many said they had a good experience at the hotel and planned to return.

The hotel's rates were usually considered reasonable by guests, but guests who needed parking found it expensive and sometimes guests opted to park a couple of blocks away, in a city lot, for less than half the price.

Many guests liked their rooms. They were typically judged to be clean, quiet, and spacious with comfortable beds, although some recent guests found dated rooms.

Several guests enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. Guests with children found it pleasingly shallow.

The Bad
There were some guest complaints found online in recent reviews.

Occasionally guests complained about the rooms. Recent complaints included: dated decor, the floor crackled when walked on, no fresh air coming from the AC unit/heater, the carpet was old, the bathroom was mouldy, a shower drain backed up, small bathroom, a saggy mattress, dim lighting in bathroom, no pay-per-view movies and mini-fridge did not keep things cool enough.

Some guests had issues with the Internet which they said did not work in certain rooms (the bedroom for example).

Guests found the parking costs expensive and some thought the area surrounding the hotel was a bit dodgey, with shady characters lurking around at times.

Staff were occasionally bashed in the reviews from guests who found them unhelpful.

Some found the elevators slow and small and the hallways and lobby to have a musty odour.
