Overview

Located about a 3-minute drive from Toronto's city centre and an 8-minute walk from Dundas Subway Station on the Ryerson University Campus, Neill Wycik College Hotel Toronto is suitable for travellers who require economical and centrally located accommodations, from May through the end of August, with extended kitchen amenities, a free breakfast and easy access to public transit.

Each of the hotel's four- or five- bedroom apartments offers a desk in each bedroom, a common kitchen and a lounge area as well as two bathrooms. In-room Wi-Fi is an additional $4 per day. Mixed dorm rooms are also available. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

Hotel amenities include free Wi-Fi in public areas, a rooftop terrace, a TV lounge, a sauna, vending machines, guest laundry ($1.50/wash and $1/dry) and BBQ facilities. A free breakfast is available daily. Parking is an additional $10 per day. Pets are not permitted.

The Good

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with compliments going to the hotel's location, rates and breakfast.

The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who found it close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, attractions and public transit. One patron noted, "The location is the real winner here. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Yonge Street, Toronto's busiest thoroughfare with all the shops and restaurants you could want. For the price we paid, the location really was the stand out feature".

Several reviewers were pleased with the hotel's rates. They described them as budget friendly, reasonable and "fantastic value for the money".

The hotel's free breakfast was enjoyed by several guests, who found it tasty, great and varied. One traveller noted, "Breakfast is included in the price, another of the best qualities about this hotel. Guests can choose 3 food items and a drink, and every morning we were satisfied with it. The food is tasty and the staff were always friendly. Bagels, Toast, 4 or 5 different varities of cereal, muffins, croissants and donuts were to be found, as well as juices, water, soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate".

The Bad
