The Good
Guests enjoyed this modern and chic hotel and loved the location.

Guests loved the rooms. They were spacious and well-designed and guests found them luxurious and classy with very comfy beds. Some mentioned being welcomed by music upon opening the guest room door and others liked the Nespresso machines, large rain showers and modern lighting (controlled with key card and at bedside). Guests also enjoyed views of the CN Tower and being offered a late check out (on Sundays). Special extras were: Molton Brown toiletries, the room number etched on drinking glasses and the Montreal-designed sand pillow.

The location was seen as ideal for accessing downtown entertainment and attractions as well as Union Station. Guests who stayed were often going to the Air Canada Centre, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium and Rogers Centre. They also appreciated having close access to Union Station for VIA Rail access and for catching public transit to the airport. The underground PATH, restaurants, groceries, Starbucks and an LCBO were all within easy reach, a short walk away.

Guests found the breakfast, with long service hours, a nice perk. One recent guest remarked, "I also love the breakfast which was included with the stay. It was fresh, healthy and had a great selection of cheeses, meats, fruits, breads and other regular breakfast items. The preserves were amazing."

Guests enjoyed dining, delicious and well-priced room service, excellent desserts and cocktails on site at Play Lounge and Starbucks on the lower level.

One guest who came with a toddler was pleased with the hotel's service and attention to detail. She wrote, "We asked in advance for a baby crib, and they provided it... along with an infant bathtub, diaper genie, potty, baby monitor, stuffed animal, toddler bathrobe... I was impressed they thought about a young family's needs beyond just the immediate request that was made."

Guests typically found the staff to be attentive and friendly and some thought the service was impeccable. The concierge staff especially were appreciated for their helpfulness and warmth.

The Bad
Some guests offered their critique of the hotel and its services.

Guests often appreciated the free breakfast on site, but sometimes guests conveyed that it lacked imagination and should be expanded to include more choices and hot foods.

While many guests said their rooms were quiet, there were guests who did not like being downtown and hearing traffic noise (trucks rumbling, car horns, train) or the sounds of sports fans coming out of the Air Canada Centre. (The hotel does supply ear plugs for guests.)

On occasion a guest was disenchanted by the minimalist decor of the hotel, but this was rare. To these guests it seemed a little stark and lacking the warmth and colour they preferred in room decor.

Other nitpicks were: fitness room small, lounge uncomfortably bright, bathroom shower glass wall does not offer full privacy and the semi-opague sliding glass bathroom door to the toilet does not fully close.
