Overview
Located about an 8-minute drive from Toronto's city centre and a 7-minute walk from St. Andrew Subway Station, Hyatt Regency Toronto is suitable for business or vacation travellers who prefer a centrally-located hotel with meeting/banquet space, on-site dining and easy access to public transit. 

Each of the hotel's air-conditioned guest rooms offers cable TV, an in-room safe, a coffeemaker, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Rooms with a balcony, a microwave, a mini-fridge, a jetted tub and a seating area with a sofabed are also available, as are smoking, non-smoking and wheelchair-accessible rooms. In-room Wi-Fi or wired Internet is available for $14.95 per day. Small pets are permitted for $50 per pet, per stay.

Hotel amenities include a seasonal rooftop outdoor pool with sun deck, a dry sauna, a 24-hour fitness facility, 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a 24-hour business centre and laundry services. Parking is an additional $32 per day. 

On-site dining is available at King St. Social (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner) and Mix Bistro Bar, which serves lunch and dinner daily. Room service is offered 24 hours a day and there is a Starbucks connected to the front lobby.

The Toronto Eaton Centre is about a 7-minute drive from the hotel, while Metro Toronto Convention Centre is a 7-minute walk away. The CN Tower can be found 6 minutes away on foot and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is a 26-minute drive away. (All travel time estimates: Google Maps)

Numerous guests found the hotel's location to be convenient. They described it as central and close to the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, restaurants, the Eaton Centre, the Air Canada Centre, public transit and the theatre district. 

The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments by reviewers. They were characterized as accommodating, friendly, helpful and efficient.

Several travellers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They found their rooms to be clean, spacious, modern and quiet, with comfortable beds and linens and great city views. A few lodgers had complaints about their rooms, however (see below).

The Bad

Some guests complained about the added costs they incurring during their stay, namely the added Wi-Fi fee which reviewers felt should have been included in the room rates. The hotel's parking and breakfast buffet were also deemed overpriced by a few patrons.

Although several travellers were pleased with their clean and modern rooms, a few lodgers complained about their accommodations. They reported small rooms and bathrooms, dated decor, worn furniture, no fridges in some rooms, dim lighting and noise transfer from guests in adjacent rooms and the hallways.
