The Good
Many guests had very positive experiences at the hotel with the great majority giving it top marks in the reviews posted online.

Guests really enjoyed their modern and elegant rooms. They were spacious and well thought out with plenty of storage, they were beautifully designed and guests felt they were peaceful with neutral and gentle colour schemes. Many also were impressed with the comfort of the beds.

The staff made guests happy to be there. Guests repeatedly told stories of outstanding service and warm encounters with the staff. One recent guest wrote, "They were so helpful, pleasant, cheerful, and never hesitated to accommodate our every need. It was GREAT!!"

The location was excellent. It was pleasant for walking, close to lots of great shopping and restaurants, museums and art galleries and guests liked having nearby access to public transit for getting to downtown.

Many guests considered the dining on site to be excellent. They enjoyed breakfasts, room service, the outdoor patio and mentioned the lounge with its DJ in the evenings and the restaurants: Cafe Boulud "the new French restaurant was outstanding.  A jewel addition to the hotel. The visuals, the menu and food preparation, the service --- all five-star." and "Buca in the smaller tower is a fabulous Italian restaurant which is fish and seafood dominated."

Guests very often enjoyed spa services on site, although there were also a few complaints in this department. One recent reviewer said, "The best Spa in Toronto, once in a while I will try another spa but I always come back. All the RMT's are excellent and very professional. The support staff are friendly, competent and a joy to interact with. I highly recommend the spa for a relaxing and enjoyable massage."

The Bad
Complaints were relatively sparse and seemed quite isolated in nature overall.

Recent room complaints: beds could have been more luxurious, a stained carpet, shower leaked cold water when using the hand attachment

Occasionally guests found the rooms, parking or spa services expensive, but many guests also felt the prices were justified. For example one guest wrote, "It is obviously an expensive hotel but worth it if you want the extra luxury."

Other comments: music a little too loud in reception area, wedding music too loud and too late, loud music in dining room and bar and limited choice for late evening dining.
