Guests liked the suites. They were very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Some liked the views of the market and Gatineau Hills from north-facing rooms.
The location was enjoyed. It was an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of Byward Market, near transit and walking distance so much of the downtown. Guests could walk to the Rideau Canal, museums and the Rideau Centre mall.

Recent room complaints were: beds, rooms and furniture a bit dated, décor was boring--mostly brown and beige, sheets did not fit the bed and kept coming off, pillows too soft, bed too firm, kitchen could use some crockery and cookware for the oven, no coffee mugs, tiny bowls, toaster didn’t work, pullout couch was uncomfortable, bathroom floor and carpets could have been cleaner, and lighting could have been better.
Noise affected guests on occasion. They cited pedestrian traffic late at night, and construction next door.
