The Good
This hotel was well liked by many of its guests. It scored high marks in the online reviews with many guests giving it a perfect score.
more Many guests liked the facilities on site. The indoor pool and kiddie pool with small slide was enjoyed by families. Others loved the world-class dining at the restaurant and in their rooms which was typically executed perfectly. The jazz music on site was also well liked.
The decor, cleanliness and comfort of the rooms was another high point in the reviews and the beds were praised for their comfort. Many were pleased to have a balcony overlooking a beautiful golf course.
A number of guests liked the location of this hotel, close to the Canadian Tire Centre and Highways 417 and 416.
Many found the staff to be courteous, knowledgeable and helpful, although several guests seemed to find service a little rough around the edges at times.
The Bad
Some guests were quite vocal about their dissatisfaction in the reviews consulted for this report.
more Occasionally there was a clash between guests and the front desk agents. This usually had to do with booking errors, and extra charges levied for a variety of things. Guests sometimes felt that they were being overcharged for services, including extra person fees, bottled water, room service charges, parking and on-demand movies. A few guests claimed that original room rates or room types were not always honoured by the front desk.
Some guests felt the location was too remote, with no restaurants in walking distance and a little far to travel to downtown. Some murmured that it was an industrial neighbourhood.
