Overview
Located about a 4-minute walk from the Niagara River just off Highway 61 in the community of Queenston, The Red Coat Bed & Breakfast is geared towards travellers who prefer a bed and breakfast hotel near the waterfront with a free breakfast, free Wi-Fi and easy highway access.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms offers free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, a mini-fridge, an iron and ironing board and private bathroom with a hair dryer. Rooms with a loft, a balcony and a jetted tub are also available, and the hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

The hotel also offers a garden, free parking and a free breakfast. Pets are not permitted. 

Town & Country Plaza is about an 11-minute drive away, while Laura Secord Homestead can be found 4 minutes away on foot. Lewiston-Queenston Bridge (going into the United States) is roughly a 4-minute drive from the hotel and Niagara District Airport (YCM) is a 16-minute drive away. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, location, breakfast and rooms.

The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by reviewers, who found them friendly, accommodating, attentive and helpful with recommendations and directions. One patron remarked, "Their hospitality was amazing - from their kind welcome and beautiful room, to their incredible recommendations, to the wonderful breakfasts! Keith even drove us to the wedding we were attending and lent my husband a set of cufflinks!".

Many travellers were pleased with the hotel's location, describing it as relaxing and peaceful, as well as close to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, restaurants, wineries and Brock's Monument. One guest noted, "The location is a good spot - directly in between Niagara Falls and Niagara on the lake and a perfect spot for cycling".

Several lodgers enjoyed the hotel's free breakfast. They described it as delicious, fresh, wonderful, inventive and healthy. A couple of guests had complaints about the hotel's breakfast, however (see below for more details). 

The hotel's accommodations were praised by several guests. They found their rooms to be clean, quiet and luxurious, with comfortable beds. A few reviewers found their rooms to be small, however.
