Overview
Queen's Landing is a Georgian-style mansion built at the waterfront of the historic harbour, at the mouth of the Niagara River and its meeting point at Lake Ontario, in the old historic town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The 100% non-smoking and air-conditioned property has 3 floors with elevator access and 142 guest rooms and suites. With meeting rooms and banquet space including two ballrooms, Queen's Landing can accommodate up to 300 guests for special events, conferences and weddings. Queen's Landing is winner of the Wedluxe Awards Best of 2010.

Food facilities at the hotel feature an on-site restaurant, called Tiara, serving traditional French cuisine. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and for a Sunday Brunch buffet from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Bacchus Lounge, for casual dining, includes a waterfront patio (and classic barbecue) during the warm seasons, and is open daily from 12:00 noon to approximately 1:00 a.m. Room service is also available each day from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Additional hotel amenities include a business centre (with free wireless Internet), an indoor heated pool, a fitness centre, and a library. There are also guest rooms and facilities to accommodate disabled guests, and free parking is available to all guests in the hotel's parking lot.

Hotel services are comprised of a 24-hour Front Desk service, concierge service, babysitting and child services, and free shuttle service. Shuttles are obtained on a first-come-first-served basis for drop-off and pick-up to nearby restaurants, bars, attractions, and to other Vintage hotels in Niagara-on-the-Lake for use of their facilities and spas. The hotel will also supply an extra bed or crib, free of charge, for children under the age of 17. Pets are not allowed at this hotel.

Basic rooms, called Traditional, come with the following room amenities: choice of King, Queen, or 2 Double beds, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, umbrella, toiletries, newspaper, coffeemaker, room safe, 37" LCD television, and pay-per-view movies. High speed wireless Internet is available in the room at an extra charge of $9.99 for 24 hours. Nightly turn down service includes a fresh rose placed on the bed.

Other more spacious rooms called Deluxe, Premium and Suites are available which have all the basic amenities with the addition of a fireplace; or which include a fireplace and also a jetted tub, plus free local calls and a 42" LCD television.

The hotel is located within walking distance to The Shaw Festival Theatre (approximately a 3 minute walk), and Fort George (about an 8 minute walk).

The Niagara Falls tourist area, with many restaurants and attractions, is about a 32 minute drive away, Whirlpool Golf Course is approximately a 23 minute drive from the hotel, and Jackson Triggs Winery is about a 6 minute drive away.

The Good
This hotel was very well liked by many of its guests, according to recent online reviews used for this analysis.

Many reviewers seemed to agree that this hotel is in a good location and has beautiful decor. One reviewer mentioned that the decor goes beyond with fresh flowers in all areas. Some others mentioned the nice view of the water, the ambiance and the design as being graceful amenities of the hotel. Still others said that it was good for shopping and an easy walk to historic sites. 

Guests also appreciated the first rate business centre, the walking trails close by, the free shuttle service, as well as the easily available parking.

Rooms were enjoyed by guests for being clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable.

Many guests praised the hotel staff for being professional, friendly and accommodating. 

The restaurant's staff and food received a great deal of praise in recent online reviews used for this summary. One reviewer said that the food and service were second to none. 

Last of all, and perhaps even more enthusiastically, guests who held business conferences and weddings very highly praised this hotel. They were very impressed with the staff who organized and helped plan their group gatherings exclaiming that they hadn't missed even one small detail and that all the members of the wedding or business group were highly impressed with the food and service at the hotel. Great wedding hotel, great conference hotel and highly recommended appeared very frequently in the reviews.

The Bad
Although the great majority of guests were very pleased with their stays, some reviewers thought the hotel did not really earn its four diamond status or resort status, and they mentioned missing views from their rooms, balconies or other areas to sit and relax to enjoy the grounds. Some even suggested that the hotel could use some minor renovation in areas.
