The Good
This motel was very well liked by many of its guests. It provided a very clean, cozy and reasonably-priced place to rest when visiting Niagara Falls and the region.
more Guests liked the very clean and well maintained rooms. They enjoyed comfortable and clean bedding, renovated bathrooms and what was often described as cute decor.
The hospitable owners played a huge part in the success of this motel. They were described as very kind and accommodating. They were helpful with tips on how to save parking costs and provided tour assistance, directions, recommendations and coupons/tickets for the area.
Although there was no free breakfast, this motel felt more like a B&B due to the personal touches and attentiveness of the owners. Guests said they were greeted at check in with warm pastry and that pastries were left in the room each afternoon. Towel animals graced the beds and there were flowers and small tables and chairs outside each room.
Location was a plus for many who wanted to be out of the noisy tourist areas, but an easy drive away. Guests also found enjoyable breakfast and other meals in the immediate vicinity.
The Bad
Guests were very appreciative of the value of this motel overall, so there were only a few nitpicks found.
With regard to the rooms guests said: no phones in the rooms, limited outlets for charging electronics, no security lock, no temperature controls, little to no drawer space in the room, pillows and towels could be nicer quality, toilet a little low to the ground for a tall person, no safety bar on the bathtub, and lighting a little dim.
Some guests did not like having limited front desk hours. They claimed that they were only able to check in from 3 pm to 5 pm in the afternnoon and check out time was at 11 am sharp. This made early check outs awkward as guests did not know what to do with the key and eliminated the possibility of a late check out.
Noise transfer was mentioned by some guests. They heard traffic sounds from the road, the parking lot, the main air conditioner for the property and their neighbours.
Sometimes guests found the rooms a little too warm and were unable to adjust the temperature as the air conditioning and heating was centrally controlled.
