Overview
The Niagara Inn Downtown is located approximately 6.7km or a 14 minute drive from Horseshoe Falls and guests that wish to visit the Falls will most likely need a vehicle or a shuttle bus to access them. The green line shuttle bus loops through Downtown Niagara, Marineland, the Casinos and the Falls.

This motel features standard rooms with 1 or 2 queen size beds, as well as heart-shaped Jacuzzi suites, and family rooms with 3 double beds. All rooms are equipped with cable televisions and refrigerators. Coffee is served in the lobby area but guests may also request a coffee maker for their rooms. This motel also offers the use of a common kitchen area for guests that wish to cook their own meals. WiFi (within guest rooms only), parking, continental breakfast, and local calls are all included with the room rates.

Several attractions accessible by car or shuttle bus include Clifton Hill which is a tourist promenade with shops, restaurants and themed attractions, the historical Rainbow Bridge which connects Niagara Falls, Ontario to Niagara Falls, New York, Maid of the Mist where boat tours of the Falls are conducted, and Marineland, Ontario's marine-life amusement park. All of these attractions are within 4.1 to 7.5km of the hotel, or roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive.

Guests that would like to visit Ontario's wine country will find Niagara-on-the-Lake approximately a 25 minute drive northeast, depending on traffic. All distances and drive time estimates: Google Maps.

Check in time is usually after 2:00pm however earlier check in is possible depending upon availability and check out is at 11:00am.

Guest reviews for this hotel were mixed and those that were positive generally mentioned the reasonable room rates, the free parking, and the downtown location.

Several guests mentioned that this budget motel was reasonably priced and felt that travellers who might not expect too much regarding room interiors and amenities wouldn't mind staying here. Some guests also said that this motel was a good option for those that just needed a bed for the night and were not planning on spending a lot of time in their rooms.

A few guests were pleased with the downtown location and mentioned that although this motel was in the downtown area it was not as noisy as they had expected. Some guests also felt that the free parking was an added bonus and this feature added to the overall affordability of their room rates.

Negative guest reviews for this motel typically centred on the unclean room interiors, the broken appliances and fixtures, the continental breakfast, and the inefficient check in process.

Many guests said their room interiors were unclean and unacceptable in terms of general hygiene. These guests stated that their bedding was soiled, their pillows were thin and worn, their carpets were stained, and their rooms smelled musty. Some guests also mentioned that their television didn't work, their coffee maker was broken, and the light fixture in their bathroom didn't work. Complaints of water damage on the ceilings and uncomfortable beds were also stated in several guest reviews.

A number of guests felt the continental breakfast had a poor selection. One guest mentioned that all they received was 2 small boxes of cereal while another guest said they were given donuts and muffins.

A few guests described the check in process as slow and unorganized, one guest said their reservation had been lost and they had to wait a long time for it to be recovered and to get checked in.
