Overview

Located about a 3-minute drive from the nearest Highway 403 on-ramp in Mississauga's city centre, the Whitehall Suites is suitable for business or vacation travellers who prefer centrally located apartment-style accommodations with extended kitchen amenities, meeting space and easy highway access.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's one- and two-bedroom units offers air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, a coffeemaker, a full kitchen, a separate bedroom, a living room, a washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, free calls within North America and biweekly housekeeping.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, a fitness centre, a hot tub, a sauna, a pool table, meeting space, BBQ facilities and free parking. The hotel does not offer wheelchair-accessible rooms and pets are not permitted.

The Living Arts Centre and Square One Shopping Centre are both roughly a 3-minute drive from the hotel, while University of Toronto Mississauga can be found 10 minutes away by car. The Good

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, rooms and staff.

The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who described it as safe and close to shopping, restaurants, downtown Mississauga, public transit, Kariya Park, Square One Shopping Centre and grocery stores. One patron noted, "Extremely easy access to the city centre, which includes almost everything you need in life: shopping, supermarkets, bus terminal, banks, restaurants, etc".

Numerous reviewers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. The found their rooms to be clean, quiet, well equipped, modern and spacious, with comfortable beds. A few lodgers had complaints about their accommodations, however (see below).

Several travellers complimented the hotel's staff, characterizing them as accommodating, friendly, efficient and responsive. One guest remarked, "The best thing was the co-operation from the staff. They were very friendly and had this one step ahead approach of asking if we needed anything that they could help us with. Providing information on any questions asked and friendly with the kids". A couple of guests did complain that there was no front desk staff or on-site after-hours support, however.

The Bad

While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints about the rooms and noise transfer.

Although the majority of lodgers were pleased with their well-equipped and spacious rooms, a few guests had complaints. They reported no hair dryers or laundry/dishwasher detergent and complained about the lack of daily housekeeping (housekeeping is offered biweekly).

A few guests complained about noise transfer during their stay. They reported noise from guests in adjacent rooms as well as traffic noise.
