The Good
Guests generally had a good experience staying at this hotel and much of that could be attributed to the size and cleanliness of the rooms.
more The rooms were large and able to accommodate guests comfortably. Having full kitchen facilities at their disposal was a highlight and a much-appreciated convenience, according to a number of guests. Guests also said that rooms were clean and well maintained.
Staff were friendly and helpful, according to guests. Front desk staff and housekeeping were mentioned specifically as being particularly warm and courteous.
Guests liked this hotel's location, saying that its proximity to the 401 (a 4-minute drive) was convenient but that it was far enough removed so that they were not bothered by traffic noise.
There was a sense from guests that there was good value received for the money that they paid for their rooms. Guests thought that the pricing was reasonable considering the included amenities (daily breakfast, buffet dinner four nights a week).
There were some additional comments about comfy beds and pillows.
The Bad
The bulk of reviews used for this analysis were favourable but some guests offered negative feedback.
more The most common complaint was heard from guests were felt the breakfast room was too small and crowded. This led to having no place to sit for some, not enough staff to accommodate the quantity of guests arriving for their breakfast, line ups and eventuated in not enough food or selection.
A couple of guests which were not pet owners complained about either being put into a pet room which smelled of pets or having to share the same area as the pets.
A couple of guests said they were given rooms that they had not booked: one guest had to suffer in a smoking room which she claimed to not have booked and another said she managed to prove the room she had booked with her printed online booking form.
Other somewhat isolated complaints included: broken hairdryer, broken playpen, peeling paint, dirty microwave, too much chlorine in pool which discoloured the expensive swimsuits, no change area at the pool, pool was small and hallways looked worn.
