Located roughly an 18-minute drive from downtown Sudbury and just south of the nearest Trans-Canada Highway interchange, the Red Carpet Inn & Suites Sudbury may appeal to road travellers who require an economical hotel with easy highway access and a complimentary continental breakfast.
This hotel has 35 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites, all of which offer free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a desk, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Guest rooms offer one or two Queen beds or one King bed, while honeymoon suites offer a jetted tub.

The guests who gave this hotel higher scores seemed to find the hotel quiet and the staff pleasant. They stated that their room was clean and comfortable. One guest said they had a good air conditioner.
Some were pleased that the hotel was dog friendly and found the Chinese restaurant on site convenient, and to have good food for a reasonable price.
Others liked the location for being close to the highway, easy to find and with ample parking.
Some guests liked the price point of this hotel and appreciated the free Wi-Fi and cold weather hook ups in the parking lot.
The Bad
The reviews consulted for this analysis were largely of mixed opinion.
more Reviewers that were more critical of the hotel had discovered dirty furniture, stained towels, pillow and linens, rooms that had not been-vacuumed, rooms that smelled of smoke and sheets that had not been changed between guests. Some just said it was an old property and a bit run down. A couple of guests provided lists of amenities that needed replacing because they didn't work any longer.
A few guests complained of rude staff.
A few guests found the hotel dimly lit with an unwelcome feeling and one complained of no heat in the hotel. Shower temperature fluctuated according to one guest, although the pressure was good.
Many guests were either disappointed with the basic breakfast itself or for the late hour it began when they wanted to head out on the road earlier in the morning. Others were disappointed that the breakfast was not a "hot full" one as advertised on the hotel's website, but make-your-own waffles and toast.
A few guests claimed to have been overcharged by the hotel and that the hotel had falsely advertised a flat screen TV in the room.
Some guests complained of poor cable selection (ie. no sports channels, no movies) and difficulty acquiring the channels.
