Overview
Located in downtown Kitchener, surrounded by shops, restaurants and attractions (the Waterloo Children's Museum is a 3-minute walk away), this hotel appeals to guests who want to be able to explore Kitchener by foot.

Guests can choose from standard rooms (king or queen beds) or more spacious suites (king or queen bed, fridge, microwave and some have a separate bedroom and/or a jacuzzi). Pets are permitted for a cost of $35/stay.
Guests can dine on site at botaniCa, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Centre Point Lounge offers drinks and lighter fare. more Service was excellent at this hotel, according to guests. Staff took their jobs and guest satisfaction seriously, and routinely went out of their way to make sure that guests were comfortable.
A number of guests commented on comfy beds and linens. Some guests really liked the gel pillows that Delta uses, and one guest went so far as to order pillows to bring home with her.
Guests liked this hotel's downtown location, saying that it was close to shops and restaurants, and to the Waterloo Children's Museum (a 3-minute walk). Based on the reviews, several guests felt that this hotel was well located close to Oktoberfest events (festival held every October) as well.
Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious, according to guests.
There were a few comments from guests who enjoyed the quality of food and the service at the on-site restaurant.
The Bad
While most of the reviews used for this analysis were favourable, there were a few guest complaints in common, most notably about aging decor.
more This hotel was showing its age, particularly in the common areas, according to guests. There were comments about worn and dirty carpets (a few guests also said that the carpets gave off unpleasant odours) and damaged walls in the hallways. Guests also commented about damaged, aging chairs in the lobby.
Decor was tired in the rooms as well, and guests said updates were needed to furniture, tiles and old TVs. Some guests said that the towels needed to be replaced and that there was water damage to bathroom ceilings.
There were some peripheral comments from guests who had trouble regulating the temperature in their rooms.
