The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who described it as beautiful and relaxing, as well as close to shopping, restaurants, Algonquin Park, downtown Huntsville and Hidden Valley Highlands. One patron noted, "The views were fabulous and being so close to both Huntsville for shopping and Algonquin for hiking was a perfect location".
Numerous reviewers complimented the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, helpful and accommodating. One guest remarked, "The very best part of Pow Wow, though, is undeniably its outstanding staff! Each and every person we spoke with was friendly and welcoming. Questions were answered quickly and knowledgeably. Dining room staff were terrific! Everybody, from the housekeeping staff and groundskeeping staff up to the owners did everything they could to make our stay truly memorable".
