Overview
With conference and event facilities, on-site restaurants, a lounge with live entertainment as well as a day spa, this hotel may appeal to a wide variety of guests.
All of the 78 rooms at this non-smoking hotel have free wired Internet, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. There are standard rooms available with king or double beds. Suites are available as well with king size bed, whirlpool tub and some with a separate bedroom and a fireplace. Pets are not allowed at this hotel.
There are two on-site restaurants at this hotel. The Panorama Restaurant and Wine Bar is on the 8th floor, offers lake views and features live entertainment on Saturday nights. It serves dinner everyday except Mondays. Bogey's Grillhouse serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. There is also a bar in the lobby for guests looking to unwind with a drink. In addition to a spa, on-site amenities include free parking, an indoor pool, a hot tub and a gym.
This hotel is less than a minute's drive from the QEW. Nearby is Grimsby Beach and the shores of Lake Ontario (less than a 10-minute drive). The Good
Many of the reviews read for this report were highly positive and guests were typically most impressed with the food served at the restaurant or at banquets, the excellent customer service they had received and with the hotel's location.
more Guests liked this hotel's proximity to the QEW (less than a 1-minute drive). A number of guests were using this hotel as a home base to explore area attractions and said that being so close to a major artery facilitated their travels.
Staff at this hotel received a number of favourable comments. Guests were impressed with staff's singular focus on meeting their needs. They were described as friendly, accommodating and efficient. Staff were quite warm and courteous to guests at various contact points throughout the hotel.
Many guests were very impressed with the lobby. Many also described their rooms as clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds, although the hotel also received some criticism regarding the rooms. (See below for more details.)
The food prepared at this hotel was a highlight for many guests, especially those attending weddings and conferences.
Guests enjoyed views of Lake Ontario, from rooms on the lake side (north side) of the hotel and from the Panorama Restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel.

While many guests gave highly positive reviews, in the reviews read for this report, there were some guests who were not fully satisfied with their stays.

A number of these guests also complained about aging decor and said that updates were in order to bedding, linens, furniture and lamps. Some guests also found carpets that needed to be washed at the time of their stay.
