Overview

This hotel is situated 2 minutes by car from Highway 71 and a 5-minute drive to the U.S./Canada border. It offers an indoor pool, on-site restaurant, free Wi-Fi and free breakfast, making this a suitable choice for road travellers who want to stay close to the highway and the border and who are looking for more than basic accommodations.

Each room comes with cable TV, an alarm clock, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge and individual climate control. Free local calls and free Wi-Fi are available in all rooms. Suites feature a sofabed and table with chairs in addition to the standard room features. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available.

A free continental breakfast is offered daily from 6 am to 10 am and on-site parking is complimentary. Pets are accommodated for a fee of $10 per night.

Other amenities include an indoor pool, a sauna, banquet facilities and meeting space. Dining is available on-site for dinner only at both Flick's Sports Grill (weekdays) and Adventure Inn Lounge. The lounge features a patio and free pool on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Curling Club is a 6-minute drive away while the Fort Frances Museum and Cultural Centre is a 5-minute drive away. The Fine Line Art Gallery is also a 5-minute drive from the property. The Good

There was not much feedback to source for this analysis but of the reviews used, the negative reviews outnumbered the positive reviews. However, guests were still able to compliment the service, the room rates and the beds.

The room rates were received well by some reviewers. They felt the hotel was budget-friendly and the rates were more than fair.

According to a few guests, the customer service was pleasant and the staff were attentive.

A couple guests thought the beds were a source of comfort.

The Bad

As mentioned above, the feedback sourced for this analysis was scarce and the negative reviews outnumbered the positive reviews. Guests complained about the room cleanliness, noise, the pool, the breakfast and the on-site restaurant.

A few reviewers were not impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. One guest claimed the bathroom walls were still dirty while another felt the carpets could use another vacuum. One reviewer also claimed their room had an unpleasant smell. However, one reviewer did feel that his or her room was quite clean.

A couple guests were disappointed with the pool. One guest was disappointed about the lack of communication about the pool being closed during their stay while another complained that the chlorine was overwhelming.

The breakfast, according to a couple guests, was not stocked well and had poor quality items.

A few guests also complained about noise.
