Overview
This hotel is located less than a 5-minute drive to the Peace Bridge, with access to the United States. A number of Niagara area attractions are nearby (Niagara Falls and Marineland are within a 25-minute drive). It offers basic accommodations and amenities to tourists visiting the area who seek a cheaper hotel away from the busy tourist area of Niagara Falls.

All of the 32 rooms at this hotel have free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms are furnished with either queen or double beds. Suites are larger and some are furnished with a 2-person jacuzzi. 

Pets are allowed for $10 per night to a maximum weight of 20 pounds and guests should make arrangements directly with hotel. Free parking is available on site and can accommodate oversize vehicles.

There is no restaurant on site, but guests are offered a very basic, free continental breakfast daily. There is a wide selection of restaurants located within a 5-minute walk of the hotel with Tim Hortons being only a minute walk away. 

Shopping at County Fair Mall is a 5-minute walk away. The Fort Erie Slots and Race Track is a 5-minute drive away. (All travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The Good
Most guests considered this hotel pretty average and those who felt most comfortable in this older hotel seemed to want a cheaper place to stay, judging from recent reviews read for this report.

Clean and affordable seemed to be the sentiment of the guests who were satisfied with their stay. One guest said their room was large and outdated but clean and comfortable. A good bang for the buck, was a common phrase used to describe this hotel.

Guests who spoke of the staff seemed to appreciated them and found them friendly and helpful.

Guests appreciated this hotel's proximity to a number of attractions and points of interest (the Peace Bridge and access to the U.S. is less than a 5-minute drive away). Guests also said the hotel was conveniently close to shopping (County Fair Mall is just over a 5-minute walk away) and to restaurants. A number of guests were using this hotel as a home base to tour around the Niagara region, and found that it was central to their destinations.

The Bad
Some guests, of those whose reviews were read for this report, just felt the hotel was not worth it. It was too old for them and they considered it dirty and run down.

A number of guests indicated that this hotel was aging and that updates and renovations were in order. They commented on the decor and on the hotel's exterior. 

Many guests were disappointed with the lack of selection offered at the free continental breakfast. They thought it was better to go to Tim Hortons next door, and described the hotel's breakfast as generic cold cereal and no coffee.

Some guests felt the hotel was dirty, although many seemed to indicate that it was clean. One guest said the carpets were dirty and another said the "room was outdated and dirty, smelled terrible".

Many guests commented about the Wi-Fi which appears to have mixed reviews with some saying it worked and other saying it barely worked.
