Located on the Trans-Canada Highway, 2 minutes south of the town centre, this motel offers an economical stopover along the highway, a convenient base for snowmobilers accessing nearby trails and travellers taking the Polar Bear Express train from Cochrane.
The hotel offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms. All 40 rooms offer air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a desk, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Rooms are furnished with 2 double beds, 1 queen bed, 2 queen beds or 1 queen and 2 doubles. Room extras include a fireplace.
On site,Terry's Steak House Restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily. Nearby restaurants include JR's BBQ Ranch, a 9-minute walk north, and New Mandarin Restaurant, a 2-minute drive away.

Guest reviewers were pleased with hotel's location. They described it as centrally located, on Highway 11 as one enters town, and near the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trails as well as a gas station. This hotel was considered the most convenient place to stay when snowmobiling nearby as it offered access to the trail and nearby access to an Esso station.
Some found the rates offered by this motel affordable and fairly reasonable for the quality of room provided.
The restaurant on the property was praised for having good steaks, burgers and rice pudding and being a popular spot for the locals.
Guests typically found the staff and owners to be friendly and helpful, and the rooms to be large and adequate in cleanliness.
The Bad
Negative reviews found for this analysis mentioned the hotel's dated condition, and stale smoke smell.
Some reviewers had complaints about the hotel's condition. The most common complaint recently had to do with heaters not working. Sometimes guests complained of fixtures needing repair as well.
The hotel has smoking and non-smoking rooms but has not segregated the smoking rooms from the non-smoking rooms. As a result the smoke smell infiltrates the non-smokers areas.
Some guests had issues with getting a smoking room, when they thought they were getting a non-smoking room, from a third party booking site. Because the hotel was busy, they were not able to accommodate them and guests were understandably very upset.
