Overview
With easy access to Highway 400, this hotel is also located close to downtown Barrie making it well-suited for guests looking to explore Barrie and its surrounding area.
This hotel has 96 rooms and offers smoking and non-smoking rooms. Standard rooms have one queen-sized bed, or two double beds. Every room comes with a coffee/tea maker, a mini fridge, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, a TV with cable and pay per view movies and free Wi-Fi. A Nintendo gaming console is available upon request. Some rooms have a microwave and/or a sofabed. Business class and Executive rooms also have a sitting area and a work desk. Executive rooms also include bathrobes and upgraded amenities. Pets are allowed at this hotel for free, but the hotel must be notified upon booking as pet-friendly rooms are limited.
Travelodge Barrie has an indoor pool and hot tub, and an on-site restaurant called Elaine’s. Elaine’s is open daily for breakfast, and is open Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 8pm for dinner. There are several other restaurant options within a 5 to 10-minute drive. Parking at the hotel is free.
Centennial Park is within a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Georgian College and Georgian mall are within a 10-minute drive, as is downtown Barrie, which is home to many shops, restaurants and local theatres. Park Place (formerly Molson Amphitheatre) is also a 10-minute drive from the hotel.
