Overview

This hotel has conference facilities, an indoor saltwater pool and a children's playground. It is well-suited to groups looking to hold events and for families seeking accommodations with a variety of on-site amenities.

Each room has free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms are furnished with one queen or two double beds. Efficiency rooms have king or queen beds, a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave). There are more spacious suites available (full kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave). Some suites have a jetted tub and/or a patio. Pets are allowed for $25 per stay.

Guests are offered a complimentary continental breakfast daily. Guests can dine on site at the Pine Room, serving breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday, and breakfast only on Saturday and Sunday. On-site amenities include a restaurant, gym, a hot tub and free parking.

The Red Pine Inn is located within a 15-minute drive of nearest Highway 400 interchange. This hotel is nearby a couple of Provincial Parks that offer hiking, biking and picnicking. Earl Rowe Provincial Park and Beattie Pinery Provincial Reserve are both less than a 10-minute drive away. The Mansfield Ski Club is just over a 25-minute drive away. The Good

Most of the reviews used for this analysis were positive and guests were most impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms and with the hotel's location.

Guests said rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. Guests said that the rooms were nicely configured and that there was ample drawer and closet space.

Reviewers appreciated this hotel's location on lots of green space, with areas for walking and playing (children's playground). A number of guests liked this hotel's proximity to Highway 81 and said that it was easy to locate. A few guests felt that the hotel was within reasonable driving distance to Collingwood (just under an hour).

Staff were very friendly and accommodating according to guests. Front desk staff were complimented on a speedy, efficient check-in process.

There were some additional comments from guests about comfy beds and from guests who enjoyed the pool and the playground.

The Bad

Based on the reviews used for this analysis, guests generally had a pleasant experience staying at this hotel. There were only a handful of isolated guest complaints.

A few guests complained about the service in the on-site restaurant. These guests said restaurant staff were not flexible about menu items and service was slow and at times.

A couple of guests complained about slow and spotty Wi-Fi connections.

Some guests were not impressed with the selection of food at the continental breakfast and said it was sparse and that it would benefit from more items. A couple of guests also complained about a lack of seating in the breakfast area.
