Located about a 10-minute walk from Lunenburg's city centre and a 2-minute drive from Highway 332, the Mariner King Inn is geared towards business or vacation travellers who prefer a centrally located historical hotel with a free breakfast, meeting space and easy highway access.

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's rooms, location, breakfast and staff.
The hotel's rooms were praised by numerous reviewers. They were described as spacious, clean, modern, beautiful, luxurious, well equipped and quiet, with comfortable beds and linens and great showers. A few guests had minor complaints about their rooms, however (see below).
Many lodgers enjoyed the hotel's location, finding it close to downtown, the waterfront, restaurants and shopping. One patron noted, "This hotel is the place to be when you travel through Nova Scotia. The owner must have a huge passion for antiques and the style. It is the perfect vacation into the past of the Canadian Maritimes with all the amenities of today".
