Overview
This hotel is located in the building where the original Bluenose sails were made and is popular with guests who place importance on historical details.
more Of the 13 rooms at this non-smoking hotel, all have free Wi-FI, a mini-fridge, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker and an iron and ironing board. Guests can choose from rooms with different configurations and bed types, including king, queen or double beds. Sofabeds are available in some rooms. All rooms have a private en suite bathroom, and some rooms provide access to the veranda that features panoramic views of the ocean. One room, with a king-sized bed on the second floor, has its own glassed-in veranda overlooking the water.
This hotel has newly refurbished its on-site restaurant. The Rum Runner Restaurant will be re-opening on April 18, 2013 and will serve lunch and dinner daily. There are also a number of dining options within a 5- to 10-minute walk of the hotel. Parking is available on the street at metered parking only.
Lunenburg Harbour is directly across the street. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is about a 1-minute walk away. Lunenburg Shipyard, where the Bluenose ll is undertaking a major rebuild, is a 9-minute walk away. Osprey Ridge Golf Course is just over a 25-minute drive away. more Several guests found this hotel to be conveniently close to shops, restaurants and to Lunenburg Harbour (less than a 5-minute walk). The proximity to the water afforded some lovely harbour views, according to guests. Guests liked being able to wander Lunenburg on foot at their leisure.
Rooms were clean and well appointed and guests commented favourably on contemporary decor. Guests said that rooms were spacious and able to accommodate their needs comfortably.
Staff were very helpful in directing guests to points of interest and were generous with their recommendations for restaurants and attractions.

Some guests also complained about noise from guests inside the hotel and suggested that the walls needed more soundproofing.
Some guests complained about the inconvenience of not having parking on site. Guests had to use metered street parking, and said that finding spots was a challenge. For some, parking was available only at a fair distance from the hotel.
