Located about a 5-minute walk from the Bay of Fundy along Highway 1, the Dragonfly Inn (formerly a bed and breakfast) is geared towards road travellers who prefer a hotel with free Wi-Fi, extended kitchen amenities and easy access to the highway and waterfront.

The hotel's location was convenient for many lodgers, who often described it as beautiful and central, as well as close to downtown Annapolis Royal, the waterfront, restaurants and shopping. One patron called it a "Good starting point for activities in the region".
Numerous guests were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, charming, comfortable and well equipped, with comfortable beds and linens and large bathrooms. A few travellers were disappointed with their lodgings, however (see below).
