Numerous reviewers enjoyed the hotel's location. They described it as relaxing and beautiful, as well as close to restaurants, shopping, Upper Clements Park, downtown Annapolis, hiking trails and Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens. A couple of patrons did mention a lack of restaurants with walking distance, however.
Many guests were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, quiet, updated, well equipped and spacious, with comfortable beds, great mountain views and good water pressure. A few lodgers had complaints about their rooms, however (see below).
The hotel's staff were the source of several compliments by travellers. They were characterized as friendly, accommodating and helpful with dining recommendations.
