This motel is located a 10-minute walk the city centre, and a 2-minute walk from public transit.

The hotel has 27 smoke-free rooms over 2 floors with no elevator

All rooms include free Wi-Fi, free province-wide calls, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-kitchen (mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, sink), a desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and climate control.

Some rooms include a flat screen TV, a full kitchen, a dining table, a living room, jetted tub and a shared balcony/outside corridor. 

Rooms are furnished with 2 queen beds or 1 king bed.

Free parking is available on site. 

Pets are welcome (2) for $20 per pet, per stay.

Hotel amenities include a bar with small patio and a guest laundry. 

There is no restaurant on site, but guests will find Mint Tapas and Martini Lounge a 4-minute walk away and other choices in the city centre, a 10-minute walk from the motel.

What’s nearby? Petit Cavalier offers French cuisine directly across the street. Capitol Theatre is a 10-minute walk. Champlain Place offers shopping a 9-minute drive from the hotel. The Good
Guests offered mixed opinions of the motel in recent reviews read online.

Guests who enjoyed their stay found the rooms clean, spacious and comfortable.

The location was appreciated for being an easy walk to the downtown core and restaurants, as well as the bus and train station. It was also handy to the highway.

The staff and owner were typically quite well liked. They were described as welcoming, helpful with information and personable.

Some guests found the motel to offer good value as they had obtained a good room rate.

Adding value for some were: lots of parking and a guest laundry.

The Bad
Guests who were not impressed with the motel complained along several themes.

Many found the motel to not be as well maintained and clean as they expected. Recent complaints were: dirty rugs, well-worn sheets, stained bedcovers, cracked tiles, mouldy window sills, damage to ceiling, rusted light fixtures, stagnant air, strong deodorizer odours, dated furniture and electrical plugs, dim lighting, dusty surfaces, rooms and sheets that smelled of smoke, walls and doors dirty with grime, dated and worn bathrooms and uncomfortable beds.

Some found the exterior of the motel, grounds and walkways to be dirty and not be kept up.

Some guests complained of missing amenities in the rooms including a TV, a hair dryer and hair conditioner, plus tea bags, utensils, dishware and cookware in kitchens.

Some complained of cold bathrooms, and difficulties obtaining a comfortable air temperature in the room. 

Several guests found water temperatures in the shower to fluctuate from scalding hot to freezing cold.

Noise was a problem for some who complained of the bar on site, and hearing water running and everything in the room next door.

Many complained of a poor internet connection.

Some thought the neighbourhood was poor and out of the way.

Occasionally, guests complained of being charged a higher room rate by the motel than they had already paid online.
