Overview

This hotel is situated in the town centre area, which features restaurants and shopping. This property is well located for guests who are looking to explore the town area on foot.

Both smoking and non-smoking rooms are available. All rooms include free local calls, a flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave and individual climate control. Hair dryers, and irons and ironing boards are available on request at no additional charge. Rooms are furnished with two double beds or one queen bed.

Free Wi-Fi is available in select rooms and guests are advised to mention their preference upon booking. Wi-Fi is free at the on-site restaurant and lounge. Free parking is available on site and pets are permitted in select rooms for a one-time charge of $25.

The on-site Wescana Inn Dining Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This property also features an on-site VLT lounge, a night club and a cold beer store.

Other on-site amenities include ice/vending machines, an ATM and meeting/event facilities.

The University College of the North is a 12-minute drive away, while the Halcrow Lake Golf and Country Club is 3 minutes away by car. The Good

There were a limited number of reviews available for this analysis, at the time this editorial was written but overall it seems as though the hotel ranged from good to passable for many reviewers.

Those guests who liked the hotel left positive comments regarding the restaurant's food and service, hotel staff and location. They felt that the parking supplied was good and that the hotel was clean.

One guest who got married and used the hotel's banquet facilities was thrilled with the delivery and excellent food provided.

The Bad

There were a limited number of reviews available but guests did offer some negative feedback and complaints.

Noise disturbances surfaced a few times in the reviews and was mostly due to traffic, but one guest complained of noisy partiers in the hotel parking lot.

Other complaints included: poor towels and only 2 were provided in the guest room, poor AC, fuzzy picture on TV, bed marginal, poor value and poor staff.
