Overview
Located just off Highway 99 and about a 6-minute drive from Whistler Blackcomb Resort, Whistler Alpine Chalet Retreat & Wellness is suitable for travellers who prefer a large chalet with extended kitchen amenities, a free breakfast and easy highway access.
more This smoke-free chalet offers eight air-conditioned rooms, each with cable TV, free Wi-Fi, a private bathroom and a balcony. Rooms with a fireplace and jetted tub are also available. Pets are not permitted and the chalet is not wheelchair accessible.
Chalet amenities include a full kitchen, a dining area, a living area with a fireplace, a jetted tub, a steam room, a fitness room, a yoga studio, storage lockers, a free breakfast and free parking. Single-room rentals as well as rentals of the entire chalet are available.
Whistler's city centre is about a 4-minute drive from the hotel, while Whistler Golf Club and Marketplace Shopping Centre can both be found 5 minutes away by car. The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, rooms and location.
The hotel's staff were the source of many compliments from reviewers, who found them helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. One patron remarked, "I have never stayed at a place with such a knowledgeable staff member about the area, places to eat, and the best runs to ski down. She gave us a tour of the facility and we enjoyed a cup of tea/coffee, while we unpacked".
Many lodgers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as quiet, clean, spacious, well equipped and cozy, with comfortable beds. A few guests complained about their lodgings, however (see below).
Several travellers enjoyed the hotel's location. They found it relaxing and serene, as well as close to Whistler Village, highway access, skiing, restaurants and shopping. A few guests did complain the walk to Whistler Village was a bit long, however.
The Bad

Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with their clean and well-equipped rooms, a few travellers had complaints about their accommodations. They reported uncomfortable beds, small-sized rooms, poor views from the balconies and noise transfer from guests in adjacent rooms.
