The hotel's location was praised by numerous reviewers, who found it close to skiing, Whistler Village, restaurants, bars, shopping, a movie theatre and a supermarket. One patron remarked, "Great location just above the upper village and about a 2 minute ride to main village. From the time you pick up your skis each morning, within 40 yards you are on the slopes!".
Many lodgers enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, quiet and well equipped, with comfortable beds. A few guests had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
